CEDC installing a new system with a unified Flobox design and with Floscan Instrument Company Inc., of Seattle, to create a fuel monitoring system complete with a new Wi-Fi system for Grace Pacific and Maui Paving.

CEDC has joined with a well-known Seattle fuel monitoring company Floscan Instrument to take their system to its next level.  Clark's experience with Floscan goes back many years to his use of the system on a new 16,000 HP ferry in Seattle.  That system had four each, 4000 HP main engines, and working as a team the system worked very well.

Now in Hawaii he saw the need for a next evolution system for one of the harshest environments you can imaging.  Dirt, dust, rain and humidity all made it important to protect the equipment and make it easy to install, move and maintain.  That Flobox was born as a system that contained the supply only or supply and return sensors, meter and power in a single protected steel box.  We added a filter on the supply to protect the sensors and then the need to monitor the system was born.  Clark collaborated with another longtime Seattle company to develop the Wi-Fi wireless and remote monitoring system.  Now the data collected will transmit to the control room, office or through the internet to the main office anywhere.

The system was built; bench tested in Seattle, shipped to the islands, and is being installed on Maui as the first system.  Now we have started the plans for the next system on Kauai, so stay tuned for the commissioning at these sites.
